Having seen its namesake print skyrocket in popularity over the past year, the Nike Air Safari is poised for a big comeback. The first foot in the door is a pair that stays relatively close to the original Safari 87 palette. We get an array of blacks and greys accented by orange on the stitching and outsole. It’s such a delicate balance that even without white splashes, they avoid looking too much like Halloween shoes.

Hello Kitty fans rejoice! To celebrate the 35th anniversary of Sanrio’s very own Hello Kitty, HK has teamed up with Reebok to pop champagne in style. The two brands created the Hello Kitty x Reebok Freestyle Hi INTL-LUX Kitty in two sweet colorways: white and black. Both shoes feature leather uppers which rock allover Hello Kitty designs.
Earlier today, we notified you of the ongoing Project Bluefoot LeBron Design Competition which enables aspiring footwear designers the possibility of creating a LeBron signature sneaker; however, that obviously was not enough ‘King James’ news for the day. With that said, we have came across a new Air Max LeBron VII that is expected to release in the beginning of 2010
UNDFTD’s Eddie Cruz wasn’t playin around when he lent his hand to the design of a pair of Air Force 1’s for the East/West rivalry pack that Nike Sportswear has going. With a beefed up Lakers color way you can tell the shoe is bangin that Westside. The purple snakeskin upper wrapped in a yellow swoosh is punctuated by a red outsole that boasts Nikes new 0.44 compound that adds traction to the sole.

As of late, the grand purple color scheme has been seen on several classic Nike models, and continues here with this pair of Nike Air Force 1. They sport a predominantly grand purple colorway along with black nubuck inserts and white accents. The upper sits atop a classic white midsole and purple outsole
From one sneak peak to another Eric Koston’s camp drops off a better image of his Dunk Low so that we can get a gander at the things to come. It doesn’t look like much has changed since the last time we saw them and everything from the colorway to the suede/nubuck construction is in tact. We get a better look at the outsole this time which is tinted to match the gold swoosh accenting.
Well the Spizike just keeps coming back for more and lucky for us its a considerate houseguest. As we all know the shoe has been winterized to protect against the elements and here we see a further take on the all black model we showed you earlier. This time making use of Nike’s signature yellow on the sole and lining Jordan Brand makes a splash with one of the most noticeable color ways you can conjure. We were hoping this was tied into the LIVESTRONG campaign and while no information has been released regarding to state that it is, nothing says that it isn’t
Back during the golden years of SB, anytime before 2006, Nike SB released a dunk low which was labeled under J-Pack. Later an Air Trainer II was dropped, making it a legit pack, but since then the J-Pack has been kind of forgotten. Well Nike SB did not forget, so here we get a Dunk Mid in royal blue suede and black leather. The sneaker differs greatly from its dunk low and air trainer brothers as it as more royal blue than black
Jeremy Scott recently did a show in London, showcasing their Spring/Summer 2010 collection. One of the stand out items in their Flinstone’s themed line up was the upcoming JS Wings sneaker. Coming out of the adidas Originals by Originals Jeremy Scott collection, this sneaker features a reflective multicolor upper, giving the shoe a bubble in the water effect. The matching wings laced on with the lace loops/laces is always an interesting addition as well.
Slated to officially release sometime around Halloween is this pair of Nike Blazer Highs. Created for grade schoolers, they sport a predominantly black design along with unique Halloween graphics. The best part is that the green graphics glow in the dark! Look for them now at Millennium but stayed tuned in for their official release.

With the recent retroes of the Air Jordan XII (12) such as the Flu Games, it’s about time Jordan Brand thought of some new ideas for the iconic shoe. The Air Jordan XII GS comes in a black/varsity purple colorway. This black base shoe uses a black nubuck upper and clear patent toe. The only other contrasts to the black shoe are the ones that matter the most: the purple and teal accents. The outsole sports varsity purple to match the inner lining and Jordan tongue tag.
As we saw a small glimpse of the Nike Air Max 90 Day of the Dead edition already, we’ve come upon some detailed looks of the shoe. The Nike Air max 90 DOTD sports a black leather base to set the dark tone of Halloween. Orange has been placed in the mix of the shoe and its pattern on the mudguard, along with hints of green and purple. Black mesh on the toebox and the black leather are contrasted by the purple patent leather swoosh, inner lining, and purple outsole
Cassette Playa founder Carri Munden talks with the sneaker community about the Cassette Playa x Nike Sportswear Dunk High Premium. It turns out the once previewed dunk may be destined for a release after all. Featuring a black base and sole with contrasting white stitching, the rest of the sneaker is splashed with tie dye patterns.
A few days ago, we gave you a look at a new Big Nike High that adopts the look of the Eggplant Air Foamposite on its upper, and now it’s time to check out another classic Nike model that’s also paying tribute to the Posite family. This Blazer High Premium borrows the color and foam material from the original Varsity Blue/Black Air Foamposite to blend the two styles together in a pretty fresh way.

She is killing her competition in a custom PE Adidas kick featuring the words ‘Believe’ in the sole. The Adidas company is thinking about releasing them for the public, if they are smart they will market it in very limited quantities and give them a funky nick name like ‘the opens’ or ‘Oudins’. Either way, congratulations to Oudin for her success, and we are impressed by her great skills designing shoes; however, we might be more in awe over here fifteen year old boy friend’s pimp game locking her down!
The Nike SB P-Rod 3 is a nice release in general. A very well constructed shoe that looks great online and in person and probably feels even better. Well the stylish number is coming in a colorway that the Sunshine State is sure to love. The LA Dodger is composed of a blue suede upper with black accents. A white swoosh and midsole makes this one super clean.
As part of their Fall / Winter 2009 collection, Louis Vuitton will be releasing this pair of Low tops. They sport a combination of leather and suede along the upper, and are shown here in a black / blue design. Finishing off the shoe is the ankle strap and mesh design on the tongue. Look for them to hit select accounts really soon
Ronnie Fieg and Nicekicks have been cooking up, well now we bring you more detailed shots. The red runner with touches of grey and white look clean as a whistle and fast as a ferrari and will be available in October exclusively at David Z. While these are still only samples pretty sure they wont change much when they hit shelves.
Nike has run hard in the Air Max 1 this year. With a wide variety of releases this summer, the ‘87′ has dropped in a bunch of colourways, including some enhanced with Flywire. That completes a sort of cycle of legacy, as the Nike Air Max 90 was the first to be thrust into the oughts with that space age material. Both come back in looks that are both familiar and not
Chances are, we’re not going to see any stitches shed from violence, but it looks like Nike is pitting its top two classic basketball sneakers against one another in an East vs. West battle. The latest entrant is the Nike Air Force 1 High designed by frequent Swoosh collaborator DJ Clark Kent. DJCK opted for the most ‘New York’ of all colourways with this mix of black, orange and blue leathers. The first two are smooth full grain but that blue back panel has a faux-lizard feel. Add in the polka-dotted lining and these are impossible to ignore.

A Sneakerfiles.com exclusive, we bring you the first image of the Air Force Jordan Fusion VIII in black/bright concord – aqua tone, or better known as the Aqua VIII. Like Air Force Jordan Fusions of the past, these take many direct cues from the original Air Jordan VIII (8), although the 23 is missing from the strap. The colorway is spot on, of course with slight alterations to fit the Air Force silhouette.

In 1993, Steven Spielberg put out the blockbuster Jurassic Park featuring a theme park with cloned dinosaurs which at the time was still a pretty radical idea. The same year, Nike put out a cross-training sneaker call the Nike Air Carnivore which may have potentially been inspired by the film. The promotional material for the sneaker calls out “Survival of the Finest”, and recently at the recent Nike Training Summit, a large info graphic calls out the shoe as “Jurassic Spark”. With its name and extreme design, even for today.
Back in March, we previewed this Hufquake inspired Air Max 90 Current Huarache. The silhouette of the AM90 with a Current sole is fused with a toebox and inner neoprene sock of a Huarache. Add some Nike Flywire technology and some Hufquake print and this runner is a perfect example of form meeting function.
Yes, the ‘Liquid’ Nike Air Penny III (3) Retro dropped this past spring. Take a closer look. The pair on the left is actually purple. What’s even easier to see on the red pair is that the latest Air Penny IIIs swap out the original Orlando-friendly colours in favour of something different. While the new Nike Air Pippen retros for Summer ‘10 seem to get their orange hits from fashion alone, these could be seen as sendups of Anfernee Hardaway’s time with the Phoenix Suns and Miami Heat.
To promote Nike 6.0’s latest wakeskate project film “Aquafrolics,” Nike 6.0 has released the Nike 6.0 Braata Prom Pack. The shoe comes with a matching aqua tee shirt with a tuxedo print on it. The shoe features a black and white leather upper with red Nike swoosh stitching. It also sports black tuxedo satin material on the inner lining, and a gaudy piano key print on the midsole.
Today has most definitely been an especially good day for the females with respect to sneaker news. Just earlier we brought you a glimpse of the Nike Dunk High 6.0 “Purple Blueprint,” and it seems as though some inspiration has been drawn from it to the tune of this Women’s Nike Blazer High “Grand Purple.”
Looks like the white Air Pippen’s will be making their way back to the scene next year and not only that but it looks like they will be introducing a new colorway also. The rerelease will be dropping in 2 colorways: white/black and white/orange. These crowd favorites are a long ways off tho so don’t worry about hunting them down yet
With Infrared Air Jordan VI fever in the air, we now get a look at another upcoming colorway of the beloved classic. This version gives the Air Jordan VI one of its most unique looks yet. The shoe sports a Black upper that features sections of suede over a patent leather base. From what we can see of them, it looks like most of the color on these is concentrated onto the midsole, which uses splashes of Red, Royal Blue and Metallic Silver.

The Bape Skullsta is gaining popularity, and to keep up with the demands of fanatics, A Bathing Ape has recently released several new colorways which make up the Cookie Pack. They sport colorways to match with Bape’s Cookie Cameo print bags and clothing released to accounts earlier this year.
As part of Nike’s Refresh initiative, Nike has given the Nike Air Force 1 a fresh idea. This AF1 comes in a matte silver/white-black colorway, with matte silver leather as the upper. A white leather swoosh contrasts the toned down grey, and best of all, the shoe features a gradient perforation effect, with the perforations in the shoe expanding towards the heel. also, the outsole is translucent, with “Be” showcased in it. “Fresh” is on the tongue tag to complete this fresh shoe, which is set to release January 2010
If there were any men upset about not being able to wear a pair of Reebok Straptastic’s without looking ’strange’ this is the shoe for you. The Nike Blazer AC High Velcro has come to save the day with its 5 strap velcro lacing system. The hot red leather upper looks great laying against the white midsole and the funky fresh fun doesn’t stop there.

The Nike 1/2 Cent has an odd name but the silhouette is a step in the right direction if futuristic footwear is up your alley. This time it appears in a metallic silver and black colorway white a transparent outsole. The upper is mostly made up of silver foamposite material and features holographic accents. Look for these at Nike retailers soon
After the turn of the century, the year 2000 also saw the historical inception of what quickly became the iconic Nike Shox BB4. Perhaps helped most by being the high-flying NBA star Vince Carter’s signature shoe, this sneaker’s popularity grew quickly alongside the memorable string of Nike “boing” commercials. Fans of the shoe will be ecstatic to hear that the original Nike Shox BB4 in its Black/Metallic Silver-Lapis colorway will receive retro treatment nine years later.
Part of 2008’s Influencer Pack, the digital camouflage that appeared on Nitro Microphone Underground’s Air Force 1 Supreme popped up again on Nitraid’s Nike SB Dunk Mid Elite. 10 years isn’t a golden anniversary, but Nitro is back with a new Nike Air Force 1 High for the occasion. It contrasts metallic gold with black on black elephant print and the effect is quite striking.
To the disappointment of many, we are sad to report that the eagerly anticipated U.S. release of the McFly edition of the Nike Hypermax has apparently been cancelled. The shoe was slated to drop this weekend alongside the Tennis Ball Hypermax NFW. The Tennis Ball version will still hit stores, but the McFly has been scratched, reportedly because of legal issues with Universal Studios, who owns the rights to the Back to the Future franchise.
Last week, we gave you a look at the wild Paint-Blotting Pack of women’s Dunk Highs and now its time to look to at another bold pack for the ladies that’s right around the corner. The Dunk High Skinny is returning in some flashy new colorways, donning some shiny materials for the Metallic Pack. Three colorways of the Dunk High Skinny will be dipped in metallic leather with a sequin-like fabric covering the midpanels.

The Air Jordan Spizike was one of Jordan Brand’s more successful hybrids, and is slated to make its return in this bred colorway on February 27,2010. They will feature a classic colorway, consisting of a predominantly black nubuck upper along with red and grey accents. Typically we see netting on the side panels inspired by the Air Jordan 5 (V)’s, but this time around, it has been replaced with the mesh seen on the Air Jordan 4 (IV).
The Reebok Freestyle has seen its fair share of colorways but none like this. Wonder Woman is a popular super heroine famous for being a female with a truth lasso, aren’t all men happy no other woman has one, and somehow being able to always find her invisible air plane. The sneakers feature a metallic red upper with blue and white stars and gold stripes simulating Wonder Woman’s attire
Last Saturday the WNBA’s Atlanta Dream wore Nike Zoom Solider IIIs in pink and white against the Seattle Storm to raise breast cancer awareness. Dedicated to their message the team even wore jerseys to match the sneakers. The shoes feature the same pink seen on the Gloria’s. Hopefully one day they can be released with profits going to breast cancer funds.
Laser-etched ABCs are here to stay. So says Nike with this latest release of Blazer Mid Premium NDs. These go hard in black, a mix of leather and suede contrasted by a white midsole-toe. Purple laces reinforce its dark leanings, but there’s a twinkle in the black that deserves another look. Though the characters are etched in dark purple, they really liven up and add brightness to this design.
A new colorway of the Air Jordan Force IV (AJF 4) in Girl’s Sizes (GS) has been released and this new one features a colorway that many would argue is strikingly similar to the various Staple “Pigeon” sneakers including the upcoming New Balance x Staple M575J. The official colorway is Cool Grey, Infared, and Neutral Grey where the upper uses the two different shades of Grey and accents it with Infared.
Last night, we whet your appetites with a look at what’s to come from Jordan Brand in 2010, and now it’s time to drop perhaps the biggest bombshell yet. In the tradition of recent releases like the Countdown and Defining Moments Packs, another accomplishment from Michael’s career will be honored next year with the Slam Dunk Pack. The pack will contain both pairs of kicks that Mike wore when winning back to back Slam Dunk Contest titles in 1987 and 1988.

Luxury brand Lanvin has produced quite the collection of shoes over the past several months. The Parisian fashion house is doing an incredible job incorporating that chic designer quality into otherwise simple sneaker silhouettes. In this particular low top trainer, patent leather and patchwork suede come together to create a beauty not unlike the pair of shoes First Lady Obama received flak for wearing earlier this year.
Through our observations, it seems as if more and more brands are tapping into the Chukka market. Just think about it for a minute. Yep, it’s a lot of brands getting down with the Chukka model. We know the rich kids will snatch up a pair of the BBC (Billionaire Boys Club) Chukka’s with the logo pattern once they hit BBC retailers this month.

With the momentum of this major collaboration one would expect to see more great things to come from the LV camp. Unfortunately, when we caught a glimpse of this fall’s lineup, we saw a few too many familiar silhouettes made famous by other companies. The one that caught our attention the most was a take off on the New Balance 574. Besides minute changes such as toebox details and added metal eyelets the shoes are virtually identical
Just a couple of weeks until Labor Day unofficially marks the end of summer, but there’s still plenty of time for BBQ parties. The Nike Dunk High is back, this time resembling a set of tablecloths. The red one has the traditional outdoor-eatin’ vibe, while the blue edition resembles the Blue Lobster SB Dunk lining.
Although the town of Cherry Hill is actually found in New Jersey, it’s actually more of a suburb of Philadelphia. That’s why at the grand opening of the new House of Hoops in Cherry Hill, the Nike Hyperize will be paying homage to Illadelph with the release of two new colorways inspired by the City of Brotherly Love. One version sports a patriotic Challenge Red/Varsity Royal/White color scheme with sections of red felt on the upper
